A man has been arrested in Melbourne’s west after allegedly firing off gunshots overnight.
Specialist police and the dog squad swarmed Tarneit after reports of shots fired into the air at about 11.30pm.
Officers cordoned off an area with the help of the police Airwing.

After several hours, a 43-year-old man was arrested without incident.
He is assisting police with inquiries.
No injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
