Music icon John Farnham has celebrated his 75th birthday with loved ones, almost two years after undergoing surgery for cancer.

The beloved singer was seen smiling in photos posted to social media by his son Rob.

In one photo, the Farnham duo are sitting on a verandah together, while in a second, they are with their wives Jillian and Melissa.

“Happy birthday Papa J, looking forward to making many more happy memories with you guys,” Rob wrote.

Farnham’s public appearances have been sporadic since his cancer operation.

The superstar singer underwent a 12-hour surgery to remove a tumour from his mouth in August 2022.

It was followed by reconstructive plastic surgery and stints in rehabilitation, including eight weeks of radiation treatment, and further surgeries.

He was pronounced cancer-free in mid-2023, issuing a public statement in which he said he felt like the “luckiest man I know”.

He appeared in photos of Rob and Melissa’s February wedding that Rob posted online last month.
