Police have issued an amber alert for three missing children from the Gold Coast in Queensland.

Officers are urging the public to help find a three-year-old girl and two boys, aged five and six, who went missing from Victor Avenue in Paradise Point at 4pm yesterday.

The three children, who are known to each other, have not been seen or heard from since and police say they may be at significant risk.

They are believed to be last seen in a blue Hyundai i30 bearing Queensland registration plates 205SKW.

Police believe the children were with a man known to them earlier in the day when they left a Paradise Point address.

The man was later located by police around 10.15pm at a Slacks Creek address and is assisting police with investigations.

The children and the vehicle remain outstanding.

The children are described as Caucasian, of slim build with blonde hair.

Anyone who may have seen the vehicle, the children or have any information should call police on 131 564 immediately.

Call triple zero for life-threatening information.
