Applications are now open for two SAFC Professional Crew Attachments on an upcoming television series in South Australia:
Script Coordinator Attachment
The Script Coordinator attachment is open to emerging South Australian script coordinators with writer credits on short film, web series or scripted narrative.
In a paid six week attachment running 12 August to 20 September, 2024 the successful candidate will work under the guidance of an experienced Script Coordinator to:
Be a part of a TV series that is location and studio based;
Develop an understanding of the processes of a Script Coordinator within the script department and other team members;
Gain exposure to departmental production processes;
Learn how to work with other departments;
Develop an understanding of production protocols.
1st Assistant Director Attachment
The 1st Assistant Director (AD) attachment is open to South Australian 2nd Assistant Directors as an opportunity to upskill to 1st AD. Applicants must have scripted credits on feature films or TV series as a 2nd AD.
In a paid six week attachment running 12 August to 20 September, 2024 the successful candidate will work under the guidance of an experienced 1st AD to:
Be a part of a TV series that is location and studio based;
Develop an understanding of the processes of a 1st Assistant Director within the department and other team members;
Learn how to schedule a TV series;
Become familiar with the process of filming multiple blocks as opposed to a singular block;
Gain exposure to departmental production processes;
Learn how to work with the Director and Producer and other departments on script, location, cast and schedule requirements;
Develop a higher understanding of on-set protocol.
