A man is fighting for life in hospital after a brutal stabbing attack on the Gold Coast’s glitter strip.
Those allegedly involved made a run for it before their getaway attempt came to a crashing end.

It smashes into two parked cars in a Molendinar industrial estate.
Five people emerge from the wreckage and make a run for it, behind a block of businesses.
The group spent five minutes going back and forth from the crashed car.

One man can be seen wielding a large knife, attempting to clean the weapon before dumping it.
Police say just half an hour earlier, at least three of the men were involved in a group disturbance in Surfers Paradise where a 20-year-old man, who they didn’t know, was stabbed.
The man was left with a life-threatening wound to his back and was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital.

His attackers fled before police arrived.
Detectives set up a crime scene and tracked the trio to the crash site where they were arrested.
Charges are yet to be laid.
