Long serving Adelaide reporter Andrea Nicolas is departing Seven News after 17 years to become senior media adviser to SA Treasurer Stephen Mulligan.
She joined Seven News Adelaide in early 2007. Her previous roles were at BBC, Behind the News at ABC and six months for Seven in the UK in 2005.
The Advertiser reports she is taking over from Jennifer Salter, who was also previously a television news reporter, and is the wife of Chris Salter, who recently switched from Seven News Adelaide to Melbourne.
Mark Mooney is now Seven’s Adelaide’s news director.
