A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after a man died from an alleged stabbing in Sydney’s inner west.

Police found a man in his 30s with stab wounds to the chest outside of a home in Concord, after receiving reports of a stabbing at 12.30am today.

CCTV footage showed the two people meeting on a street before one of them allegedly pulled out a knife.

The footage showed the pair running down the street several minutes later.

Police allege the teenager inflicted a fatal blow to the man’s chest.

NSW police officers were the first to arrive and located the injured man.

Despite officers performing CPR on the man, he died at the scene.

Superintendent Christine McDonald said a teenager later returned to the crime scene with his mother.

“Police were approached by a 15-year-old boy and his mother,” she said.

“They provided police with certain information and as a result, he was placed under arrest.”

The teenager was taken to Burwood Police Station, where police said he was assisting detectives.

No charges have been laid.

Police were later seen scouring the crime scene and confirmed that a weapon had been located.

Anyone with CCTV or information has been asked to come forward.
