Police are appealing for public assistance after the suspicious disappearance of a Melbourne man.

Adrian Romeo, 43, was last seen alive at his Dempster Drive address in Craigieburn on February 10 after telling his family he was going to Greenvale to visit some associates.

Detective Inspector Dean Thomas said police believed Romeo may have met with foul play.

Thomas said Romeo’s phone and bank cards have remained untouched since his disappearance.

Police are now hoping his distinctive gold 2004 Toyota Camry sedan may help unlock his final movements.

“We are very confident that Adrian’s disappearance is suspicious and I’m of the belief he is deceased,” Thomas said.

“We’re hoping today there’ll be people out there who know what has happened to Adrian.”

Police have canvassed surrounding CCTV but there have been no leads.

They have also been unable to locate Romeo’s gold sedan.

“Please take time to walk outside their house, or walk outside their business and look down both sides of your street to see if there is a car fitting that description,” Thomas said.

Romeo is described as having a close circle of friends and a tight-knit family, but so far information and sightings surrounding Romeo’s disappearance have been fruitless.

Police have now released images of his 2004 gold Toyota Camry with the hopes of identifying his whereabouts.

“Adrian has a large number of friends, there is nothing in Adrian’s history to link him to any organised crime, there is nothing to explain why he might have gone missing,” Thomas said.

Anyone with any other information regarding his disappearance is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
