A popular type of power bank sold at IKEA stores across the country has been recalled over safety fears.
Product Safety Australia (PSA) recalled the Varmfront power banks due to a manufacturing fault, which could lead to the product overheating and melting during use.
The product safety watchdog warned there was a “risk of serious injury from burns or property damage from fire if the power bank overheats during use”.

Consumers should stop using affected power banks immediately and can return them to an IKEA store for a replacement product or a full refund.
