A number of cows have been left with injuries after a semi-trailer crashed into a bridge in Melbourne overnight.
Police were called to the scene on Alexandra Parade in South Yarra about 8.25pm after receiving reports of a crash.
Emergency services arrived to find multiple cows jumping from the smashed truck and running on the street.

The driver of the truck was not injured, according to police.
Agriculture Victoria and veterinarians were called to the scene to assist the injured animals.
It’s not clear how many cows were injured and if any were killed.
