Two men have been charged after a 34-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped and assaulted in Brisbane’s south overnight.
The pair allegedly took the woman from a home in Morningside about 7pm yesterday and transported her to a nearby Bulimba address, then to Birkdale in Redland.
One of the men allegedly assaulted the woman with a cricket bat and demanded cash, Queensland Police said.

She suffered “minor injuries,” and was taken to Redland Hospital.
The trio all know each other, according to police.
A 35-year-old Birkdale man has been charged with one count each of kidnapping, deprivation of liberty, possess dangerous drugs, assault occasioning bodily harm and assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed.
A 30-year-old Birkdale man has been charged with kidnapping.
Both are due to appear Cleveland Magistrates Court today.
