A woman has died after flames engulfed a house in Melbourne this morning.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at a home on Adelaide Street in Murrumbeena about 1.40am today.
A 73-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene.

She is yet to be formally identified.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the blaze and an arson chemist has been called in.
At this stage police do not believe the fire to be suspicious.
