A teenager who filmed a hit and run on Beach Road at Beaumaris that left two cyclists with lifelong injuries has been arrested again.

The 14-year-old was on probation for the incident at Melbourne’s Bayside and is on multiple counts of bail for separate matters when it’s alleged he carjacked a woman with a machete yesterday morning.

He has served less than one third of his nine-month probation order for recording a deliberate hit and run on Beach Road in January.

His dramatic arrest unfolded in front of workers in Clayton yesterday morning following a pursuit across south-eastern suburbs

The teen was cornered by dozens of officers in an industrial estate.

The 14-year-old along with a 17-year-old and 15-year-old allegedly tried to run but were all cuffed.

It’s alleged the teenager, who can’t be named for legal reasons, carjacked a woman at a carpark in Mordialloc around 9.30am.

Police said the woman was forced out of her Mercedes by the machete-wielding gang before they took off in the vehicle.

Later, the Air Wing tracked the Mercedes to Carrum Downs, where stop sticks slowed the alleged joyride.

Police allege the trio dumped the car and got into a Subaru before they were arrested.

In the incident in January, the 14-year-old recorded and encouraged the hit and run that left cyclist Glenn Gibson and a 72-year-old man with lifelong injuries.

The teenager uploaded his antics to social media.

He has been charged with a raft of offences including aggravated carjacking, unlawful assault, conduct endangering life, driving dangerously and while disqualified, three counts of theft of a motor vehicle and two counts of attempted aggravated burglary.

The teenager faced a children’s court today and made no application for bail.

His defense lawyer told the court he suffers from ADHD and will have to see a custody nurse.

He’ll remain behind bars until his next appearance in September.
