Silver Logie nominee Simon Baker is set to appear in a Mullumbimby court next month, charged with two offences.
According to The Australian, the offences are an “attempt to drive while under influence of alcohol – first offence” and “drive vehicle under influence of alcohol – first offence”.
He does not have bail conditions attached to the charges.
Baker is best known for role as Patrick Jane in The Mentalist, plus The Guardian, Limbo, LA Confidential, Roar and E Street.
He recently starred in Boy Swallows Universe which landed him a Best Actor nomination at this Sunday’s Logie Awards.
Baker as also forged a production deal with Made Up Stories to co-produce and direct all episodes of Lioness, based on the book by New Zealand author Emily Perkins.
He will appear before a magistrate at Mullumbimby local court on September 4.
