People who prefer their cocktails to taste like breakfast are faced with dwindling options after a line of peanut butter whiskey liqueur products was recalled.

The Screwball liqueur from Pernod Ricard Winemakers in the 750ml and 50ml bottles contains sesame, which some bottles don’t declare, Food Standards Australia New Zealand said in a recall notice.

The recall only applies to bottles that don’t declare the presence of the allergen.

The liqueur was sold through various retailers nationwide, including Dan Murphys, BWS, and IGA.

Food Standards warned the drink could be dangerous for people with a sesame allergy.

“Consumers should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund,” Food Standards said.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
