Paramount will unveil its 2025 Upfront in Sydney on Monday September 16.
Further events “to experience the power of Paramount and our partnerships” will be held in other cities including Melbourne on September 19.
This mirrors the 2024 Upfront which staged an intimate roadshow to multiple cities, rather than bringing all media to Sydney. This year industry budgets are even tighter, both in terms of local commissions and big ticket events.
But being first cab off the rank this year also suggests 10 / Paramount is confident of its 2025 slate (might The Traitors be back on the agenda? A celebrity version has been announced overnight for the UK).
Foxtel is the only other big player to have locked onto its date, October 17 in Sydney.
Nine is expected on October 24 or thereabouts. Seven has also faced cutbacks and is yet to confirm plans.
SBS (and possibly ABC) are likely in November.
