A search for a father and son who went missing while fishing off the coast of Kiama has been suspended.
Police called off the operation at 1.30pm today following an extensive search spanning three days.
There is no information about when or if the search will resume.

The father and son, aged 47 and 17, did not return home from a fishing trip at Storm Bay in Kiama, in the state’s south, on August 20.
The pair from south-western Sydney had only planned on a day of fishing.
Liverpool Police received reports the father and son were missing about 3am. Police located their car and fishing gear near the fishing site.

Officers attached to the search included those from the Lake Illawarra Police District, Marine Area Command, Police Divers, Rescue and Bomb Disposal Unit. PolAir, Marine Resue, SES and Surf Live Saving NSW.
Lake Illawarra Police District Superintendent Craig Ireland said the search team are working off the assumption that the pair had entered the water, although no one saw them fall in.
They were not wearing life jackets, Ireland also said.
The family of the missing fishermen held an emotional vigil on Tuesday as the search continued.
