Netflix and Fremantle are calling for applicants to participate in an expanded trainee attachment program to take place throughout production of the Heartbreak High S3.

The program will support four entry-level attachments with paid positions across various departments including Costume, Locations, Grips / Llighting & Camera departments.

Head of Training & Career Development at Screen Careers, Denise Eriksen says, “Our approach builds on the traditional attachment model to provide longer term support and better employment outcomes, whilst also easing the training requirements on busy productions. We’re thrilled to be working with both Netflix and Fremantle on one of the most exciting shows around!”

All of the Heartbreak High Season 3 attachments will be designated a specific supervisor in the department they are working with, with oversight from the Head of Department giving unprecedented mentoring access. The scheme will be managed by Screen Careers as part of their Attachment Scaffolding program.

The Australia and New Zealand screen industries are growing rapidly, and these specific roles have been selected to help address the rising skill shortages affecting the greater industry. Interested applicants in the Costume, Location, Grips / Lighting & Camera departments can apply here and will need to be available for the dates specified. First Nations and those from Underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.

Maintaining and growing talented and experienced crew is essential to the success of Australia’s film and television industry. The Heartbreak High trainee program is part of Netflix and Fremantle’s continued commitment to fostering the next generation of talent and supporting local creatives in partnership with our industry peers and screen-bodies.
