A court has released evidence that led a NSW jury to find a mother and son guilty of a hit-and-run murder.

Driver Jayden Walmsley-Hume and passenger Katie Walmsley chased down and slammed into 18-year-old Taj Hart from behind with a ute at South Nowra in 2022.

The pair went into hiding after the incident before being arrested weeks later in April at a Terrey Hills caravan park.

During the trial, the mother and son claimed it was an accident, denying they were out for revenge following years of animosity with their victim.

Today, the Supreme Court released bodycam footage of witness interviews with police, which amongst other videos and testimony, helped the jury determine that the pair were guilty of murder.

”The guy was walking … he was over more towards the trees and the car has swerved up, collected him and swerved down in front of me and took off,” one witness says to officers.

“I just said to my son, ‘Get the number plate’.”

“They were hanging out the car, she’s yelling, ‘We got him’, and he’s like, ‘I am not sitting in this’,” another bystander said.

“He said, ‘We’ve got to get out, we’ve got to get out of here’.”
