Dashcam vision has emerged to show the hair-raising moment a tree branch falls onto a powerline stretched across a busy Sydney road.

The incident took place at about 6.30pm yesterday on Carrington Road, Queens Park, in the city’s east.

Halted in a traffic queue, the driver’s camera captures the moment the branch, tossed by strong winds, breaks off the tree.

These included fallen trees and powerlines, as well as damage to roofs and properties.
