A newborn baby has been rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being found outside a home in Melbourne’s south-east overnight.
Police said the baby was discovered outside a Gladstone Road home in Dandenong North about 2.40am.
A 25-year-old woman from the address was also taken to hospital where she remains under police guard.

Detectives said the baby remains in a critical condition.
Police said the circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
