Australia’s favourite cartoon pup is now part of a special coin collection already retailing online for hundreds of dollars apiece.
Bluey, her sister Bingo, and their family and friends, are illustrated on a new set of $1 coins in the Bluey Dollarbuck collection, available individually or as a set through Australia Post.
One in 10 coins will be a “special-coloured” version, while post office customers will for a limited time even have the chance to pick up a Bluey coin in their change from the tills.

Coins in the till will be available until September 29 – unless they run out first.
Royal Australian Mint CEO Leigh Gordon said the Mint was excited to collaborate with Australia Post and BBC Studios on the project.
“We hope that through this new Bluey program we are cultivating the coin collector of tomorrow,” he said.

“What better way to start your child’s or grandchild’s coin collection, than with a Bluey coin?”
Bluey fans can head into participating Post Offices or online from today to buy individual coins for $10 each and the full coin and folder set for $29.
A Bluey Stamp Pack will also be available, containing twelve $1.50 self-adhesive MyStamps and a large look-a-like stamp, with graphics of Bluey and her family.

Entrepreneurial types online are betting that people will be willing to fork over a lot more.
On Ebay, vendors are asking for more than $400 for uncirculated coins and complete collections.
And they’re getting buyers, with one lot stipulating the vendor had eight offerings left after selling 11.
