Former 10 political reporter Tegan George has reportedly reached a settlement in her long-running employment case against the network.
Daily Mail reports George finally reached an undisclosed settlement this month.
George launched Fair Work Act proceedings in 2022 for negligence and breach of duty in care after reporting on the 2019 / 2020 bushfires.
George reported suffering from PTSD and nightmares after witnessing hellish scenes such as dead livestock killed in the blaze and terrified families leaving their homes.
The Federal Court had ordered parties to mediation but it failed.
She later expanded her claim to encompass a contravention of the Sex Discrimination Act, alleging “Network 10’s Canberra bureau was a workplace that was hostile to women.”
Her settlement comes ahead of a civil trial over her claims of sexual discrimination against the network, which is now set to begin on February 3rd next year.
