A 25-year-old woman has been charged after a newborn baby was found with serious injuries under a carport in Melbourne’s south-east last week.
The injured baby boy was discovered outside a Gladstone Road home in Dandenong North about 2.40am.
A 25-year-old woman was taken to hospital under police guard.

The baby was also taken to hospital where he remains with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman is also still in hospital.
Dandenong Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation detectives have since charged the woman with conduct endangering life and recklessly causing injury.
She has been bailed to face Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on December 5.
