We’re just ten sleeps from the Perth Royal Show and today some of Western Australia‘s sickest kids got a sneak peek with a very important role: testing out the rides and showbags that are on offer.

The children at Ronald McDonald House were given an exclusive preview of the upcoming show, checking out this year’s showbags and getting first dibs on their favourites.

“Many of the kids staying with us are staying with us for days, weeks months,” Ronald McDonald House’s Peter King said.

“The opportunity to get the first-hand look at the showbags and the rides… (is an) absolute fantastic experience.”

More than 350 showbags will be up for grabs this year, including new Matildas, Socceroos, Pollywaffle, and Wednesday offerings – as well as a beloved old favourite.

“It’s suffered a bit of inflationary pressure, I’m not going to lie, but Bertie Beetle is $5 and it is the cheapest bag at the Perth Royal Show,” Carnival Amusements’ Mark Marinovich said.
