Police are investigating the death of a teenage girl who was hit by a vehicle on the New South Wales North Coast.
Emergency services were called to the Bruxner Highway in East Lismore about 5pm yesterday, following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a trailer.
People nearby administered first aid to the 15-year-old girl until paramedics arrived.

She was taken to Lismore Base Hospital, but later died.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
The male driver of the utility and trailer, aged 42, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Police set up a crime scene, and investigations are continuing today.
