More armchair travel / history tonight on SBS with the premiere of two part documentary Lost Treasures Of Angkor: Ancient Laos Revealed.
An international team of archaeologists investigate an astonishing hoard of priceless ancient treasure discovered in the southeast Asian nation of Laos. Their mission takes them to temple sites in the jungle, and major new discoveries are made as they as they explore the origins of the civilisation that built the great city of Angkor.
Episode One: The Discovery
A team of archaeologists try to find out when and where the treasure originated. Aerial scanning targets new sites for excavation and reveals far more than they were expecting.
