A man has been charged after allegedly spraying a fire cleaner inside a pub in Sydney’s east last week.

At about 8.30pm on Friday, September 13, a man unloaded the extinguisher inside the Robin Hood Hotel, Waverley.

He was briefly apprehended by former NRL star Braith Anasta, who 9News understands was attending a function there.

The man then fled the scene before police arrived.

The hotel was evacuated but no injuries were reported.

On Wednesday, police arrested a 22-year-old man and charged him over the incident.

He faced court yesterday.
