A Queensland man has been arrested in Thailand and is being extradited back to Australia after he allegedly left the country while charged with rape.
Footage showed the moment that Helio Taiyang Richardson was arrested at a resort on Koh Phangan, an island in south-east Thailand.
Thai media has reported that the man was wanted on an Interpol arrest warrant.

Richardson, a kinesiologist, was charged with rape in Queensland in 2018.
He was able to leave the country before court proceedings were finalised sometime in 2022.
9News understands the man arrived in Sydney this morning, and is on his way to Queensland accompanied by detectives.
Queensland police have confirmed they are working with international and national partner agencies on an extradition of a 62-year-old man.
It is not yet known where legal proceedings against Richardson stand.
