Winners of the WA Media Awards were announced on the weekend.

ABC and Seven led the television categories.

The Australian’s Paul Garvey was named the 2024 WA Journalist of the Year, and won the Beck Prize for Political Reporting, for his series of articles titled “Direction 99 Debacle”.
