News presenter Davina Smith is departing Nine News Sydney and returning home to Toowoomba to be closer to family.
Smith has been based in Sydney for a decade, including presenting Nine Morning News and Nine Afternoon News.
“While we’ll miss her presence here in Sydney, I’m happy to say Davina will remain part of the Nine family as she takes on a new role as a Reporter for A Current Affair,” Sydney news director Simon Hobbs said.
“For over a decade, Davina has been a key figure in our newsroom, known for her agility and impact as a live news presenter. Her composure and professionalism on-air, especially during rolling coverage of major events, has been remarkable.”
