The My Room Grand Final Spectacular took place last night live from The Palms at Crown Melbourne.

The annual event saw hosts Eddie McGuire, Alicia Loxley, Clint Stanaway and The Sunday Footy Show team, including Tony Jones, Nathan Brown, Matthew Lloyd, Kane Cornes and Damian Barrett raising funds for children and families fighting childhood cancer.

A total of $5,246,459 was raised eclipsing last year’s $3.12m.

This total is expected to increase with additional donations coming in over the weekend.

Maurizio Marcocci, Chairman, and Margaret Zita OAM, CEO of My Room Children’s Cancer Charity, said: “Established more than three decades ago by families touched by childhood cancer, My Room Children’s Cancer Charity has transformed into an essential support system that provides funding for crucial clinical care and supports research aimed at enhancing treatment outcomes.

“This year’s Grand Final Spectacular together with other My Room fundraising initiatives throughout the year achieved a remarkable total of $5,246,459, thanks to the unwavering commitment of our partners, volunteers and the generous contributions from the public, offering hope to children facing cancer. We are dedicated to channelling these resources to the areas that need them most, ensuring every child has access to optimal care and support during their journey.”

Managing Director of Nine Melbourne, Matt James, said: “As the proud broadcast partner of My Room Children’s Cancer Charity, we are thrilled to see another record-breaking total at this year’s My Room Grand Final Spectacular. We extend our gratitude to all who donated, as well as to our incredible volunteers and production team. Together, we’re moving closer to a 100 per cent cure for childhood cancer.”
