Dashcam footage has captured a harrowing hit and run crash that left a Brisbane nurse shaken and $700 out of pocket.
Maretta Vincart, 41, was driving her Mazda 3 along the Gateway Motorway in Murarrie yesterday when a Holden Commodore ploughed into the back of her vehicle.
The impact caused Vincart’s car to spin out of control as bystanders rushed to her aid.

Vincart’s dashcam captured the close call, including the moment that the Commodore drove away.
“I don’t remember screaming at all, but it is like what everyone says, it goes in slow motion,” Vincart told 9News.
“I did feel the car go to tip but it didn’t so I was extremely lucky.”
Witness Laura Ellis said the Commodore came “flying past” and nearly took out another car before crashing into Vincart.
“It’s pretty confronting, watching her car kind of spin out,” she said.
“They obviously have no care for anyone.”
Vincart said her car was a write-off.
In a further blow, Vincart has to pay a $700 excess on her insurance because she doesn’t have the other driver’s details.
“It’s frustrating because it was a normal day working,” she said.
“Abiding by the road rules, and someone decides to not do that and be reckless … I could have lost my life.”
Police are investigating and are looking for a blue Holden Commodore with the Queensland registration 483KG5.
They are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward.
Vincart also urged the person responsible to hand themselves in.
“They’ve done the wrong thing, so they should be punished accordingly for that,” she said.
