Homicide detectives arrested the 53-year-old woman at Bankstown Hospital yesterday, over a year after her husband went missing.
Police will allege that she killed her husband before dismembering his body, in order to hide the remains.
She was taken to Bankstown Police Station where she was charged with murder (DV).
Investigators also executed a search warrant at the home on Juno Parade.
The woman was refused police bail and appeared in Bankstown Local Court yesterday, where she was further refused bail.
She will reappear in Burwood Local Court on December 11.
