Aussie broadcasters have acquired two British documentary specials on Donald Trump.
SBS has picked up UK documentary Stopping the Steal which tells the story of how Donald Trump encouraged a band of people to subvert the U.S. constitution and storm the Capitol.
The doco by Dan Reed is told from the inside by a line-up consisting entirely of Trump supporters and allies from the Vice President’s office down. Jonathan Ford from distributor Sphere Abacus said the “alarmingly topical film reveals how Trump’s conspiracy to subvert the constitution took shape, why it led to the violence of January 6th and how it was ultimately defeated.”
Meanwhile Nine has also acquired UK documentary Trump: Should We Be Scared? which speaks to insiders and experts, both friend and foe, who worked with Donald Trump during his first White House term, to examine what policies he would likely introduce in areas such as immigration, climate change and foreign affairs.
