Tens of thousands of ‘100 per cent safe’ bags of blood are being binned instead of donated

Josh Blizzard has a genetic condition called haemochromatosis, where his body absorbs too much iron. The prescribed treatment is to regularly remove blood, and the good news is it’s safe for donation.
