7plus and 7news.com.au is now hosting a 7 part news documentary looking inside Facebook and Instagram-owned Meta.

Meta Exposed is a vodcast and podcast interview series hosted by Michael Usher and Sarah Greenhalgh which dives deep into the impact of Meta’s platforms on our lives.

Michael Usher said: “What is going on deep within Meta that makes it resistant or slow to react to parents’ cries for help in protecting their children from harmful content and behaviour?

“We’re just starting to find out about the internal culture of Mark Zuckerberg’s social media juggernaut company. Insiders have told us about real concerns being ignored, and productive solutions to protect teen users especially being ignored also.

“We’ve interviewed a fascinating range of people with deep inside knowledge of Meta and hear their expert views on where Mark Zuckerberg is going wrong,” he said.

Featuring insights from whistleblowers, insiders and researchers – including Meta whistleblower and former Facebook engineering director Arturo Bejar, News Corp Australia Executive Chairman Michael Miller, cybercrime analyst Paul Raffile, leading disinformation researcher Joan Donovan, and social media reform advocate Nicki Reisberg – the series sheds light on the true motivations and methods behind the tech giant’s operations.

It also features Wayne Holdsworth, who shares the heartbreaking story of losing his son, Mac, to suicide after he was targeted online via Instagram.
