ABC saw a huge switch-on for the return of Kitty Flanagan comedy Fisk, doubling its audience from Spicks & Specks.
But there was no stopping The Block which was #1 at 1.32m viewers in National TV Audience.
That was ahead of The Voice (922,000), Fisk (829,000 at 8pm), The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition (611,000) and Spicks & Specks (387,000 at 7:30pm).
Later 60 Minutes led at 673,000 then 7News Spotlight (486,000), Plum (484,000).
Telethon drew up to 193,000 viewers.
Nine narrowly won the night over Seven.
Seven News won its slot at 1.21m with Crime Investigation Australia: Most Infamous at 207,000.
Nine News averaged 1.16m with a late edition at 405,000.
ABC News scored 777,000. Replays of Grand Designs Australia (223,000) and I Was Actually There (201,000) followed.
10 News First was 288,000. The Graham Norton Show was 232,000 then The Sunday Project (213,000) and FBI: International (129,000).
On SBS it was SBS World News (172,000 / 146,000), Akhenaten Secrets of A Forgotten Pharaoh (129,000) and Treasures with Bettany Hughes (102,000).
