Four people have been taken to a Brisbane hospital after a car collided with an ambulance that was responding to a high-priority call.

The ambulance was travelling through the intersection of Beckett Road and Albany Creek Road in Bridgeman Downs this morning about 7.30am.

A blue SUV collided with the ambulance which flipped onto its side, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said.

The ambulance had been driving with its lights and sirens on at the time of the crash.

Emergency crews quickly descended on the intersection.

A male and female paramedic suffered shoulder injuries, and a student paramedic suffered minor injuries.

There was no patient onboard the ambulance at the time.

A man in the other car suffered shoulder and knee injuries.

All four were taken to the St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital in a stable condition.
