A teenager has narrowly escaped harm again after a gangland hit in Sydney’s west failed.

It’s understood the teenager was driving out of his driveway when five shots were fired at him by a group of men, who were waiting at the front of his house.

Early reports indicated that as many as 10 shots were fired by one or more shooters wearing balaclavas.

It marks the third attempt on the teenager’s life.

He escaped a barrage of bullets in May last year, and he was also shot in the stomach in September while sitting in his ute at Wetherill Park.

He was not injured in today’s shooting.

Fifteen minutes after the shooting, a car was set alight on Atkin Street in Carramar.

Police believe the vehicle may have been the getaway car.

Two men were seen running from the area following the fire.

No one has been reported injured and the car fire was extinguished.

More to come.
