Reid Butler has been appointed as a US Correspondent for Nine News.
Butler began working as an associate producer at the Nine newsroom in Sydney in 2011.
He followed as an NBN reporter in 2012, then news producer for Today before becoming a producer on A Current Affair in 2014, followed by reporting roles for Weekend Today and ACA.
He joined the Melbourne newsroom in 2020, becoming nominated for Young Journalist of the Year at the Quill Awards three times.
Butler has also filed stories from Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Indonesia, London and Ireland ahead of his US bureau role.
