A predatory Adelaide massage therapist who indecently assaulted clients during appointments has been jailed for six years.

Jason Hagon preyed on clients inside his clinic at his Morphett Vale home and continued his offending despite the fact that police said they had received a complaint.

The 53-year-old initially tried to laugh off his assaults as accidental but he pleaded guilty after years of denials and claimed he was driven by a lack of intimacy at home.

Eight women in court chose to bravely waive their right to anonymity and spoke out about the impact of the offending.

“I think what was delivered was better than what it could have been. They were fair, I mean, we obviously all have to live with it for the rest of our lives,” Sarah Eccles-Smith told media.

“I think happy is not the right word but just a sense of relief that he can’t do this to anyone else while he’s behind bars,” Cassandra Croston said.

“That’s exactly why we are agreeing to be in the media is to hopefully give courage to other women to come forward,” Sally Lumsden said.

Hagon must serve at least four-and-a-half years until he will be eligible for release.
