Prime Video show The Boys has issued a statement making clear that any similarities between a storyline including political violence and recent events surrounding former President Trump were coincidental.
“The season finale of The Boys contains scenes of fictional political violence, which some viewers may find disturbing, especially in light of the injuries and tragic loss of life sustained during the assassination attempt on former President Trump,” an Instagram post said.
The title of the episode has also been changed following the attack on Trump.
The finale was originally titled “Assassination Run”, but is now simply “Season Four Finale.”
