Police are investigating a brawl during a park football match in Sydney.

The Granville Football Association had to pull the pin on the Under 17s finals match between Auburn District and the Holroyd Rangers at Rydalmere after a brawl erupted about 2pm yesterday.

9News was sent a video of teenage players throwing punches before parents ran onto the field to intervene at Rydalmere Park in the city’s west.

Five red cards were issued to players from the Auburn team.

At least two players from the Holroyd team filed reports with police and 9News understands the local Football Association is also investigating the incident.
