Sophie Walsh has joined Clint Stanaway co-hosting Weekend Today.
This follows Jayne Azzopardi promoted to Today, following the departure of Brooke Boney.
“I’m thrilled to be moving into the host seat alongside my great mate Clint, not only is he a brilliant journo, he can field a curveball like no other,” Walsh said.
“We’ve already shared so many great moments together on Weekend Today and I’m looking forward to stepping up into the new role and giving our viewers an authentic and fun start to their weekend.”
“Not only have I worked with Sophie for more than a decade, we’ve also developed a friendship that I truly value,” Stanaway said.
“Her vibrant, cheeky personality and journalistic brilliance will shine in the role and together, we’re determined to make Saturday and Sunday mornings even better for our viewers.”
