Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a 57-year-old man following a serious assault in Two Rocks, Perth.

Police were called to an address on August 16 on Whitfield Drive at 5.15pm after reports a man had been located in a driveway with serious injuries.

It’s alleged the man was assaulted by a 33-year-old man known to him.

The man was taken by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment of a serious head injury.

Police allege the 33-year-old fled the scene in a grey Mazda hatchback and was later located and arrested in Greenwood.

He was charged with one count of grevious bodily harm and appeared before Perth Magistrates Court on August 17, where he was remanded in custody until his next court date on October 28.

The 57-year-old man died as a result of his injuries on August 20.

Homicide Squad Detectives are seeking information from the public regarding the incident, particularly anyone who was around the area of Whitfield Drive at 5pm on August 16.
