Lisa Millar will farewell News Breakfast on ABC tomorrow morning.
“Five years ago I stepped into the big shoes @latrioli left to fill and joined @mjrowland68 and the team at News Breakfast,” she wrote on Instagram.
“It has been an incredible ride – with more ups than downs – but what has jumped out at me over the past few weeks has been the avalanche of beautiful cards and messages from our audience who have shared with me such touching stories about why the program has meant so much to them. I never imagined when I started in journalism at The Gympie Times 36 years ago that it would bring me such amazing opportunities.
“Thank you to each and every one of you.
“It would be a privilege to have you join me on Friday for my last show. I’m not sure what’s planned but I suspect it will be quite the ride.”
