Victoria’s Gippsland region has been struck by a magnitude 3.0 earthquake last night.

There were more than 80 reports of the earthquake which struck near Sandy Point, about 188km southeast of Melbourne, at 7.54pm.

The earthquake struck at a depth of about 10km, and there have been no immediate reports of significant damage.

The Victorian SES urged anyone who experienced property damage or who needed help to call the assistance line on 132 500.

Sandy Point is located near Wilsons Promontory.

It comes three weeks after 4.1 magnitude quake hit the state’s high country which was felt by more than 1400 people.
