Nine’s coverage of the Paralympics commenced yesterday with an early morning Opening Ceremony and competition from 5pm on 9GEM and later on Nine. It also juggled its NRL commitments at the same time.

Paralympics Night 1 averaged 273,000 viewers with Night S2 at 236,000 and 184,000 for Late play.

A midday replay of the Opening Ceremony was 191,000 with the early morning replay at 112,000.

Meanwhile an extended Home & Away topped entertainment at 767,000 in National TV Audience, helping Seven to a Thursday win by less than 1%.

7:30 was 659,000 then Foreign Correspondent (515,000), Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly Australia (339,000) and Great Australian Walks (191,000).

10’s audience rose with Gogglebox to 480,000 then George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces (302,000), TikTok Murders Gone Viral (285,000).

Nine’s NRL pulled 621,000 across the network.

Seven News was #1 at 1.3m with The Chase winning on 597,000. Homicide with Ron Iddles replayed to 260,000.

Nine News averaged 1.07m while A Current Affair led on 937,000. Tipping Point scored 569,000.

ABC News drew 812,000. Hard Quiz (374,000), Antiques Roadshow (220,000) and Miriam Margolyes Impossibly Australian (152,000) followed.

10 News First was 303,000 but The Project was low at 251,000 then Deal or No Deal (247,000). A Cheap Seats replay managed 172,000.

On SBS it was SBS World News (197,000 / 143,000), Junior Doctors Down Under (106,000), Mastermind (81,000) and Rebus (62,000).
