A company in Thailand is offering an unconventional benefit to its employees: Tinder leave.

Marketing agency Whiteline Group announced it would be giving its workers paid time off to go on dates, paid out like annual or sick leave.

The initiative will allow employees of the agency to explore dating options and will be in place from July until December 2024, Whiteline announced on LinkedIn.

“Our employees can use Tinder leave for dating with someone,” Whiteline noted in a post shared in August.

It was put in place in a bid to boost wellbeing among employees.

Whiteline employs about 200 people at its Bangkok office, its website states.

Whiteline also said it gives six months of paid-for Tinder Platinum and Tinder Gold subscriptions to employees, which offer better features.

The company said it required one-week advance notice for workers wanting to use their Tinder leave, according to a translated message on LinkedIn.

It’s also only available for employees who have passed probation and who join between the dates of July 9 and December 31 this year.

The temporary employment benefit appears to have been announced to staff at a company event.
